HOW TO MAKE A GREAT VIDEO TEMPLATE?

1. Create an idea for your video template

What short videos would your user like to make? A greeting, a job video, a testimonial, a fan video? How should it be to inspire them to make it?

Making a video template is to do the dirty job for the user. A videoplate takes away most of the tricky things a user would normally experience in making a film. It provide: The idea itself, content that is hard to do yourself, instructions for filming, effects, the mixing.

One of the most important things is to make a great story that the users want to use themselves. That’s why a videoplate is presented as a film, so that the user can say “Yes, I want to make one like that!”

Tips for you idea / story

In the same way that there are many ways to make a film successful; there are many ways to make a video template successfull. However, some advice may help you:

• Come up with a great idea or story for videoplate. Think of a film the user would like to make and share. Make it funny, surprising or emotional.
• Provide unique videos, images and flash files that the user would not make himself.
• Make sure that the user can personalize it by replacing video or text.
• Make the user clips easy for the user to film himself:
  • easy to film.
  • good instructions.
  • little requirements in terms of acting, location, etc
• Make an exciting editing by repeating the use of some user clips:
  • applying effects to videoclips
  • using layers creatively
  • write a exciting marketing text and good instructions

2. Create your overlays, animations, and films

Ask your designers to create the animations, overlays and prerecorded films that you want to have in your video template.

Tips for media:

• Make all movies, films and animations for the size and aspect ratio you want
• For fastest mixing use mp4 video format
• if you want to use alpha channel in your videos, use quicktime
• for customizable text, use overlays in the text editor

3. Upload the files in the Incloode Videoplate Editor and then edit them to create your video template.

Anyone familiar with basic video editing can easily play around in the Incloode Videoplate Editor, and create your videoplate with the settings you want. The editor will also ask you to provide instructions, so that users of the template get help with what say, or other advice that could help them recording their greeting.

Tips for editing:

• Many layers may increase rendering time
• Make sure you set the correct aspect ratio for user clips
• Provide good instructions for the user

4. Create a video page on your site.

Integrate the Incloode Videoplate platform with you website and create a page where your customers will watch their greetings.

Tips for publishing:

• Use the word press plug-in of you have a wordpress blog
• Make a duplicate of your videoplate if you want to make a new version later

The Incloode Videoplate System can be easily embedded on your website. The users of your site will see your videoplates, and will be able to make their own films from these.

Our platform will deliver the final video to your server and you can decide how these films will be used on your website; whether you want to save them to the users profile pages or wish to display them in a YouTube™ style video channel.

WordPress plugin

If you are running a WordPress-powered blog, and you want to allow your users/readers to make or add videos, the Incloode Videoplate Platform can be accessed with our Incloode WordPress plugin, through our public Incloode API.

You can set it up in 5 to 15 minutes, and get going on creating to video templates you want your readers to be able to use.

More freedom and control using our Incloode API

If you want more freedom than our Embedded solution can offer, you access our public Incloode API directly. This allows you to access all the commands of the servers, as well as the media generated and stored on our servers.
